Silvia Lama, an Italian pianist based in Zurich, creatively blends her passion for music, social impact, and innovation throughout her professional journey. Winner of 7 international awards, Silvia has over 14 years of experience performing and teaching music across Europe, with a versatile repertoire spanning Classical, Romantic, Film, Disney, and Pop music.
She is the founder of Keys for Change, an international community of music lovers, artists, and changemakers dedicated to connect ant spark positive change through the transcendent and universal power of Music. Keys for Change organizes pro bono fundraising concerts that support impactful organizations advancing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (e.g., climate action, access to healthcare, and quality education). In its first 5 concerts, Keys for Change raised and entirely donated USD 19,227 in collaboration with renowned organizations, such as the UBS Optimus Foundation, Imagine Worldwide, and Caritas Zurich.
In 2017, Silvia obtained in parallel a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance from the State Music Conservatory "Giuseppe Verdi" of Ravenna and a Bachelor's Degree in IT & Management Engineering from the University of Bologna. She later completed a Master of Science in Management, Technology, and Economics at ETH Zürich, where she was awarded "The Alfred Escher of tomorrow" by ETH Zürich (Feb, 2019).
Her musical journey began at the age of five at YAMAHA Music School under the guidance of Professor Nicoletta Fenati. Thanks to this experience, she developed the perfect pitch and a deep dedication to music, that turned a playful start into a lifelong passion. She further specialized in the Late Romantic repertoire under the mentorship of renowned pianists such as R. Prosseda, A. Nosè, I. Veneziano, G. Bellucci, and D. Franceschetti.
In 2016-2019, Silvia combined her devotions to Music and Social Impact, as Co-Founder & CEO of Musa: an award-winning EdTech start-up with the mission of making Music Education more fun and accessible to every child. The company developed a unique gaming technology and music recognition algorithm, as well as partnerships with CASIO Italia and the University of Padua.
In parallel to her concert and teaching activities, today Silvia continues to nurture her social entrepreneurial spirit as UBS Global Visionaries Program Manager - UBS global accelerator supporting impact entrepreneurs to scale their pioneering solutions advancing the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
